ARCH! I decided to start giving myself photography assignments to complete on a weekly basis. Over the next 26 weeks (25 actually since this week is completed!) I am going to take a picture to correspond with each letter of the alphabet. This week's assignment was 'A' which allowed me the excuse to finally get around to shooting this "archway", which is all that remains of
the old West Orange, Country Club. I have driven by this archway dozens of times and each time I think how much I want to photograph it. There is something so intriguing, mysterious, and even
romantic to me about old, abandoned buildings and structures. I love to imagine what the people who lived there were like or what the place might have been like in it's heyday. I have tried to research it but so far haven't had any luck. Oh well, my fantasies are probably more exciting than the reality anyway! Well, they aren't masterpieces but here they are! My first "assignment" is complete!
